Providing initial commission details for artist review + $25 refundable fee
Reviewing and signing the Artist’s Commission Agreement prior to Artist beginning the project
Non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of estimated total price (including sales tax), due prior to Artist beginning the project
Remaining balance equal to actual total price less initial deposit (including sales tax), due upon delivery/shipping of the artwork to the Client.
Costs of shipping the artwork.
Responding to communications from the Artist in a timely manner throughout.
Requesting a Commission
To secure a commission slot, the Client must provide commission details along with a refundable $25 fee. If the Artist accepts the commission, then the $25 fee will be credited toward the final cost of the commission. If the Artist declines the commission, then the $25 fee will be refunded to the Client. The Artist reserves the right to decline commissions for any reason.
Artwork Fee
The Fee for the artwork shall be calculated according to (1) the artwork size, and (2) expenses incurred for purposes of creating the artwork. The final cost shall be assessed after the completion of the artwork.
A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of estimated total price is due prior to the Artist beginning work on the commission. The remaining balance, equal to actual total price minus the initial deposit, is due upon satisfactory completion and delivery of the artwork to the Client.
Right to Review/Change Commission
The Artist shall provide up to three (3) preparatory sketches to the Client for approval prior to beginning the commissioned artwork. The Client may also request changes to the artwork size, medium/materials, or subject matter before the Artist procures the materials for the final artwork, with the understanding that changes to size, medium, or materials will result in changes to the final price. Requests must be made in writing and approved by the Artist. All sketches are the property of the Artist.
Right of Refusal
In the event that the Client does not wish to continue with the commission, they may request in writing to void the contract, and both parties will be released from any further obligations. In that case, the Artist will retain the refused artwork and the non-refundable deposit. The Client will not owe any additional fees to the Artist.
Returns
There are no returns once the Client takes possession of the artwork.
